About me
My name is Diogo, glad you are here!
Brazilian from Sao Paulo, I came to Kobe in Apr ‘07 with a Monbukagakusho scholarship. I have plans to stay here for I-don’t-know-how-long
I am currently a researcher at GSICS‘ Kobe University — I will begin my master’s in October. Back in Brazil I studied at the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo, my major is International Relations. I am still a member of the Asia-Pacific Studies Group there.
Unfortunately I don’t know much Japanese, but I work my way through Portuguese, English and (a little) Spanish.
Apart from Japan, I lived in the Bismarck, Missouri, during the Spring semester of ‘00 as a high school foreign exchange student. Plus, I took a quick 3-week Spanish course in Buenos Aires during Jul ‘04. I liked the experience very much and I returned to take classes at the USAL’s Escuela de Estudios Orientales (School of Eastern Studies) during the Spring Semester of ‘05.
